Out of Office @ Ryedale House

A fantastic place once you sort the key out would definitely stay there again everything you want is within walking distance

We went away for my Dads 70th Birthday. The accommodation was fantastic and really made his short break perfect. We would definitely stay again.

Very nice clean apartment in a perfect location with the added bonus of a parking space. Would defo look for this when we stay again in York

The apartment is a few minutes’ walk from the centre of York and is on one of the busy roads into York, a road that has a number of busses stopping – convenient if you need to use public transport but noisy. Private parking is a bonus as others have said, however, we were allocated a space which with the best will in the world we could not get the car into. It was between a column and a wall. We rang the company and were told not to park in another space as we could incur a charge. My husband has mobility issues, and we explained this right from the start. All we were told was that there was a height restriction. If you have a large car, you will seriously struggle. We seriously considered parking on the road or a car park five minutes away due to the accessibility issues. To be clear, we had asked for on-site parking when booking and explained that this was for a guest with mobility and access issues. It seems that there are no accessible/disabled parking bays available for Stays York guests. Fortunately, there was a concierge at the desk on the Monday who allocated us another space which afforded my husband the room to get in and out of the car. A few things were missing from the apartment, bin bags in the kitchen, minimal toilet roll in the bathrooms and decent knives to cut things with, in particular no bread knife! It was good that a few tea bags and coffee were provided but if you’re going to supply milk for guests, please consider a pint of fresh milk and not the individual packets, of which there were several left in the cupboard above the kettle. Clearly not a popular item. There are various appliances in the kitchen and a washer/dryer in a cupboard where the hot water tank is. We could not find any instructions for the washer. I wouldn’t return to this apartment or any others in Ryedale House, simply because of the issue with parking and the location.

We had a great stay. The apartment is exactly as described, in a super location, with the added bonus of the parking space. Highly recommended.

We were very happy with our stay at Out of Office. The location was absolutely brilliant and so easy to walk everywhere around town and to see all the attractions York has to offer. The spacious apartment was perfect for 2 couples and 2 wee ones with the fold out bed being perfect for our toddler. We did request a bassinet which was not there when we arrived but luckily we did have one packed otherwise our baby would have been in our bed. Otherwise the perfect stay.

Gorgeous apartment, very clean, great layout and superb location! Both bedrooms have en-suites which was brilliant Will defo return!

The apartment was lovely, exactly how the pictures show it. Very comfortable and well equipped. Plenty of hanging space and fans in both bedrooms. Excellent location and private parking was a bonus.

This apartment was one of the nicest we have ever stayed in. We loved the decor, the apartment was very comfortable and the location is fantastic. It’s great to have free parking. A hamper was left in the room too with a bottle of Prosecco some tea and coffee and some treats all local to York. This was a lovely touch. We will definitely be returning!!

we spent an extended stay here. the best of it? dawn, angela and isabella - the concierges - were like sunshine every morning, making us feel at home when we were so far from home. the lay out of the apartment (bedrooms with en-suites either side of the central living and kitchen) gave us privacy in a small space. the flat was just very, very liveable.
