Set within a quiet gated courtyard, yet just a few minutes’ walk from York city centre the apartment is located on the first floor with access via a short flight of stairs. On entering the apartment the spacious hall leads on the right to the modern bathroom with a shower over the bath and the master bedroom.
The light & airy master bedroom has fitted wardrobes and a wall mounted small flat screen, the twin room is again light and airy with high quality linen. Both bedrooms have views out across the courtyard making them very quiet, perfect for getting a good nights’ sleep after a busy day sightseeing.
In the sitting room are two large leather sofas, a flat widescreen television with digital channels, Blu-Ray DVD player, and an ipod/iphone docking station. A selection of DVDs, games and many books about York - its history and attractions - are all provided, as is broadband internet access.
The kitchen diner has seating for 4 and is equipped with all the appliances required to make life that little bit easier, washing machine, dishwasher & microwave. The hob & oven are both electric and the white kitchen units make the space feel lovely & light.

Lovely stay in York
Very nice 2 bedroom apartment on the 1st floor. It had a large double room and a smaller bedroom with 2 single beds (quite compact). The bathroom had a lovely shower over the bath and soap was provided but not shower gel or shampoo. The living area was spacious and the kitchen well appointed with all mod cons (dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, microwave and fridge freezer etc), you also get a small welcome pack with tea/coffee, uht milk and a few dishwasher/washing machine tablets. I like the fact you have reserved parking in a security gated courtyard. The keystore when you first arrived is a little awkward to access but you you only need to use it first day and return keys when you leave. The location was only a few minutes from the walks on the river Ouse and 5-10 minutes from the city centre. We were also about to store my mother-in-laws scooter in the communal hall downstairs and once we got outside York had plenty of dropped kerbs and it was only the very old cobbled streets that cause an issue. All in all the accomodation was perfect for our needs with a great location for York City Centre.

Great apartment in an excellent location
The apartment is very central, just 5-10 minute walk from the centre of York and right in the middle of all the tourist attractions. A Sainsbury's, cafes and takeaways are all just around the corner. It is easy to get to by car and you can park there in a secure area for the duration of your stay. The property was spotless and we had everything we needed. I have ranked customer service as "OK" because Stays York sent us the wrong access codes and we arrived on a Sunday when I suspect their office may have been closed. As the owner of the property had gotten in touch with me directly earlier in the day I was able to call her back to get the correct information. She was very helpful and also left lots of helpful information in the flat. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this property.
