**34 Coney Street - a brand new holiday let development of the highest quality right in the city centre**
Coney Street, York’s premier shopping street was home to some colourful characters down the ages. In 1150, the main street in York, was called Cuningstrete, the King’s Street. It ran from Ousegate right to the Museum Gardens. By the 18th century it was the site of the seat of government in the city, with the Guildhall and the Mansion House in pride of place. But it was in the 19th century that it became a shopping centre par excellence, with high class fashion establishments, costumiers, furriers, milliners, linen drapers, pianoforte warehouse, bookshops and jewellers, as well as the home of York’s first department store, Leak and Thorp which opened in 1869.
The Opticians
Situated on the 3rd floor, the stylish accommodation is an indulgent alternative to a hotel. Situated in the very centre of the historic City of York with views out to the heart of Coney Street, it has been stylishly and individually decorated with obvious links to one of the previous occupants of this grade II listed building.
The ELITIS DANDY wallpaper creates a bold statement look which immediately creates an air of style and luxury. With a king size luxury bed to snuggle in after a day out or evening revelry it is complimented by an ensuite bathroom, complete with a luxury walk in shower and underfloor heating. This is your opportunity to indulge in the luxury of getting ready for your fabulous night out in York, which is literally on your doorstep. 34 Coney Street is surrounded by shops and restaurants, with The famous Betty's Tea Rooms and The Ivy only 2 minutes walk away you know that you are going to be totally spoilt for choice.
Although there is no parking with the apartment as such, there are plenty of paid for parking options close by. Just enquire for details.

It was clean, comfortable and in the perfect location! It was walking distance to everything. It looked exactly like the photos and it was modern and beautiful.
I provided an opportunity to discuss this offline but sadly no one got back to me

1) strong smell of damp in the accommodation from the moment we arrived 2) black hairs on the duvet 3) no kitchen sink to wash up - seemed odd to wash up cups in the bathroom with no washing up liquid 4) no bedside lamps 5) toilet seat too small for the toilet 6) the water from the shower wet the entire floor - understand bathroom may be a wet room but the utility stand wont last long at this rate 7) coffee stains behind the dressing table mirror clearly visible when sitting in front of it 8) smoke alarm bleeped intermittently throughout our stay - when I flagged this to your office, the colleague suggested I climb up and disconnect it and go and buy a replacement battery 9) the guests directly above us were extremely noisy - not sure whether floor between the rooms are insulated well enough 10) other guests slammed doors late at night - perhaps they dont close properly All in all some areas which need improvement.

Nice accommodation and a great central location for an overnight stay
The location was excellent. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The decor was elegant and attractive. There was plenty of space and the bathroom was very nice with a good, powerful shower.
