With the addition of an open plan, fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area this well positioned apartment has everything that you could want in the city of York, including free WiFi and also the addition of a designated secure parking space. Should you need it the apartment also offers a further small bedroom with bunk beds, suitable only for children.

First, the communication and assistance we received from the team at Stays York was perfect and more than expected when we could not find the office, so they came to us. If we could suggest that not so much documentation be sent beforehand as having to print it is costly. All we needed to know for arrival was where to collect the keys, where to park and how far the parking is from the front entrance. The information/welcome guide once in the apartment is thereafter sufficient. As far as the apartment is concerned; it was more than adequate but extremely cold on arrival. The welcome guide instructed not to change the temperature as it would automatically come on depending on the outside temperature. This was not the case; several hours later after sitting with blankets we did change the temperature. However, we had to continually turns them up before they kicked in. Consequently we slept the first night with an additional duvet. Can we suggest that someone puts on the heating at least half a day before arrival as when an apartment is left empty for more than a week it takes too long to heat up. Other guests should be aware that it is not a quiet apartment, due to proximity to the rail station and Postal sorting depot. Only bedrooms 1 and 2 each have a window and the blinds are inadequate to block out the light; in fact the 2nd bedroom window is into the corridor of the building so the lights were on all night. Location and parking perfect but park in front to unload as it is quite a walk with suitcases. Condition of the apartment super. Cleaning - we found a large dog chew under the dining table? The main bathroom drain had not been cleaned for quite a while, so the smell was very unpleasant. Without the right products I cleaned it the best I could. Some of the cutlery had not been washed properly and the inside of the drawers had crumbs. Sorry our feedback is late but we only returned to Luxembourg yesterday and had not access to a PC whilst away.

Lovely apartment, clean, well appointed, had most of what we needed. Very easy walk into town. Quiet apartment block and heard no outside noise. Helpful concierge in the flats too. Two minor points, WiFi was terrible, gave up and used mobile in the end. And the double bed in the 2nd bedroom was really squeaky.

Nice apartment, comfortable, clean and tidy. Very convenient to walk into the centre of York or have a walk along the river Ouse weather permitting. The apartment was well equipped with everything and the welcome pack of tea, coffee etc. was appreciated. As we arrived on a Sunday we were greeted by Brian and his wife who were both very helpful which was much welcome after a long and tiring journey. All in all a very enjoyable holiday.

A comfortable stay. We had an issue with the key fob for the secure car park. It wasn't in the apartment when we arrived on Saturday 15th June. I needed to make other arrangements to park my vehicle securely overnight. The following morning I contacted Stays York. The lady on duty was very apologetic and she delivered the fob to the apartment about an hour later. A very comfortable stay and very convenient for catching our train on Tuesday 18th June.

This was the perfect location for my needs. Park the car in the secure gated parking and forget about it for the duration of the stay. Just a 10 minute walk to the Minster or to the railway station or National Railway Museum made this the ideal location for our needs. Walks/runs along the Ouse gave great views of the city. The staff at Stays York were very friendly and helpful when I asked to extend my stay by a further day. The presence of a concierge in the apartment block was also very helpful. Apartment was very well appointed.

ideal location - close to bus stop and railway station for day trips to seaside, Leeds, Harrogate as well as leisurely stroll along river ouse or exploring York city centre. Two Bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as fully equipped kitchen make a comfortable home. Friendly staff and a helpful welcome pack with original Yorkshire products as well as plenty of information leaflets about tourist attractions in the region make your visit easy going.

An excellent location for a lovely apartment to use as a base for our short break in York. The staff in the office were so helpful & sorted out the keys for us when we got held up on our journey. The lady who met us at the flat with the keys was also brilliant making sure we knew where everything was and even helping us take the bags upstairs! The parking space is a real bonus to the flat as well. The flat was well equipped with everything we needed (maybe a cafetière would have meant we could use the lovely coffee from our goodie box!) and the 2 bathrooms were a boon for 4 adults trying to get ready! Definitely on my list for a return visit

Lovely apartment, it had everything you needed, lovely comfy beds , very warm though, as property was sun facing & the fan was loud & only normal tv , so we took a fire stick with us , the post office sorting parking was outside & we thought we would be woken up early with vans coming & going , but there was no problem at all , would definitely stay here again

316 Westgate, York is everything it says and more! Perfect location for the river, station and centre of York. The place itself was spotless and had all that we needed. Short walk into the centre and onto the historic York Minster. Everything on your doorstep, so would definitely go back again.

Great place! Excellent location, cozy and comfortable place, located in a very quiet part of the city, outside the old town city walls. There is plenty of space and the kitchen is very well-equipped. We can go walking to the main city attractions.
Day at the races and sightseeing York

We stayed at the apartment for the purpose of visiting the races and sightseeing in York, and the location of the apartment was great. We were a little apprehensive at first as it overlooks the Royal Mail sorting office, but if the windows were closed there was very little noise. The apartment was clean and was very well equipped. Stays York were extremely helpful with a query I had prior to arrival. All in all a very pleasant stay and would recommend and book again.
