Ryedale House is an exclusive, private development in the heart of York’s historic core beside the River Foss. The building benefits from secure allocated parking and an onsite concierge. Clifford's View sits on the 5th floor.

The apartment benefits from an lovely external balcony complete with outdoor seating for 2. This gives great views over many York landmarks and is the perfect place to relax with a drink on your trip.

The kitchen area has been designed to the highest standards and features premium Neff appliances throughout. The apartment benefits from full professional, interior design throughout ith great attention to detail.

The dining area can seat 4 for dinner and backs onto the stylish living area with comfortable seating and large LCD TV. The high quality wooden floors throughout the apartment also have the added benefit of underfloor heating.

The master bedroom is a huge space features a double bed, wall mounted LCD TV and a stylish chaise longue. This bedroom also has an ensuite complete with underfloor heating and bath with over head shower.

The second bedroom of the apartment features a double bed. Both the bedrooms benefit from having USB sockets near the beds and high quality carpets throughout. Both bedrooms and the lounge also feature patio door access to the balcony.

A second bathroom can be found in the hallway of the apartment complete with a walk in shower.

The apartment also has the added benefit of an allocated car park space onsite.

We were in York for a family lunch in Walmgate, so the location could hardly have been better. This apartment was a distinctive and memorable place to stay. The flat is a good size for two, and we managed to host a small tea party after our event, although a few more cups and mugs would have made it easier. The view across the Foss is better than the view into it, and the balcony is a nice feature, although you do have sit right at one end to see Clifford’s Tower past the wall of the Castle Museum opposite. The real surprise-and-delight is the big sliding window in the living room. Arrival instructions were clear and easy, as we’ve come to expect from Stays York - although there are so many key safes in the lobby that finding the right one took a little while. We appreciated the dedicated parking space, although manoeuvring even our 4.0m-long car around the many pillars was a challenge. A full-size family car would be a real struggle and there are a lot of scuffs on the pillars to show the problems other drivers have had! The kitchen is easy to use and the bathrooms are comfortable, although we found the combination of a high dinner-plate shower head and a half-width glass screen made it hard to keep water from splashing on to the floor. But the apartment deserves a recommendation, expensive as it is. And we can thoroughly recommend the French food at the Chopping Block in Walmgate, three minutes away.

This is our second visit here. The flat is in a great location with lovely views over the river and city. Secure parking underneath the development is handy and the flat is a short walk from the city. Great restaurants and pubs on the doorstep. The flat itself is really well appointed with everything you would need. It is warm, safe, cosy and well furnished. Thoroughly recommended.

The overall standard of the accommodation was excellent, and we really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean and comfortable, as well as being well equipped and furnished. The view over the river and across to Clifford's Tower was very good. It was very helpful to have a designated car parking space. The location was brilliant, being just a short walk from restaurants, shops, the Minster, theatres. We would be delighted to return to it if we are visiting York again. The only suggestion for improvement I would make, is a minor one. It rained a great deal during our stay, and the use of a folding airer/dryer frame would have been very helpful indeed.

Very comfortable apartment with everything you would need for a short break. Parking is secure in a gated compound, the beautiful reception area is manned by very pleasant helpful staff.

Firstly we were disappointed that the apartment didn't seem up to the same standard as the waterside retreat we stayed in previously. On first arrival the lock for the little bathroom was broken and on the floor.The balcony glass was covered in bird poo, cleaned as best we could, left the floor. We paid for a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment but ended up all 4 of us using the small shower/toilet room re the shower in the main bathroom being too hot to use, scorching hot water & couldn't be fixed till after we left, needed a part. Surely the people in the apartment before us reported this ?It proved very inconvenient. We were also unable to lock the door due to the lock being broken. We reported the apartment as being too hot & were unable to turn down the underfloor heating , yes someone came and turned it down and the living room , bedrooms went down from 30 degrees to around 25. This only stayed like this for a day & the living room was soon back up at 29/30 by the time we left. Very uncomfortable & we found ourselves taking turns with the 1 fan provided. It was like being in a sweat box. We had a great time in York as always but this accomodation was not a good experience, very disappointing as our last stays with Stays York was wonderful

Really enjoyed our long stay overlooking the river and Clifford's Tower. Everything in the city is in walking distance but the flat was amazingly quiet. Well equipped and comfortable flat. Excellent service from the cleaners and Stays York.

A few minor hiccups along the way but Stays always there to get it figured out. A bit tight in parking when many cars but handy to have parking as so many don't. We stayed 2 months :) Very handy to all main streets by walking

The property is well situated with its own private parking space. The decor and facilities are fantastic throughout, with everything you will need for your stay, including iron/ironing board, washing machine etc. Towels provided, also a hairdryer. The kitchen is well stocked and washing up liquid/dish washer tablets provided. Even had a little welcome hamper with coffee tea, chocolate and biscuits. I cannot fault the property at all. The staff were very friendly and helpful too, although the apartment doesn’t have a reception, the company who deal with the bookings send out a welcome pack with all instructions you’ll need, regarding access, keys etc. We even managed to get into the property early as check in is from 4pm onwards. Overall I’d definitely stay here again.
