Stylishly presented and completely newly furnished throughout this beautiful one bedroom apartment makes a great choice for any stay in the city.
The fantastic location makes ideal for guests in York on either business or leisure. Whether you just want a central base to walk to the office or a great place to relax on the sofa and watch the river. If gazing out at the river is not your thing then don’t worry, there’s always the large LCD TV and DVD player to entertain you along with the large iPhone docking station for your tunes.
The kitchen comes with everything you’d expect like a dishwasher, washing machine etc. It also benefits from having solid wood worktops; an unusual feature in a city centre apartment. The property has a larger than average amount of storage space if needed.
The bedroom and bathroom are both presented excellently. The bathroom has been newly tiled and features a shower over the bath. The bedroom is tastefully presented and also has great river views.
The apartment features a very comfortable sofa bed in the lounge area to accommodate an extra guest if needed too.

This apartment has all we want for a relaxing holiday getaway , Good beds and good location overlooking the River Ouse.

As we arrived in York by train we were advised by Stays York that our apartment was cleaned and ready for us. This was 2 hours early so we were delighted. It is about a 15 minute walk from the railway station with suitcases. We had stayed in No 30 before. It is very well equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and it is sparkling clean. There is a welcome pack of milk, biscuits with lots of Yorkshire tea and coffee provided. It is ideally suited for easy access to the town facilities and also exploring the surrounding area by train. Across the River Ooze there are outside tables and bars which do create some noise mainly on Friday and Saturday nights. However if you close your windows you do not hear anything. The views from the windows are splendid with boats of all types going up and down the river. I highly recommend this apartment and would have no hesitation in going there again.

This place was amazing. We were hesitant about giving a managed apartment another try, but York Stays exceeded our expectations. First, the apartment was very spacious - the largest we have had - clean, and well equipped. We had loads of empty shelves and countertops to place our belongings. I love it when hosts place a washable cover over the sofa - it just feels cleaner. Second, it was so much fun watching the day and night activity along the River Ouse. When we wanted to sleep, we just closed our bedroom window and opened the living room. It kept our bedroom cool without the noise. We also had two fans to keep the air circulating. Third, we were just across the bridge from the old town. It was so easy to pop into town for sightseeing and shopping. There was no need for a car - we parked one at a city parking lot nearby and never used it. We highly recommend this place. And, I would definitely consider giving York Stays my business when returning.

Lovely apartment, had everything you could wish for! The perfect location overlooking the river. Within a few minutes, just over the bridge, you’re right in the city centre! Great communication and received a text to say we could check in early which was amazing as we thought we would have to store our bags somewhere. We absolutely loved York and when we return we will definitely be booking this place again!

Wonderful apartment. So clean, light and airy. Could not believe how close we were to all the attractions. Literally a stones throw away. Amazing early morning skies from windows as day began. Some delicious shortbread etc. And flowers on arrival. Very comfy bed. Despite being so central, very quiet and peaceful.

We were delighted with the accommodation at 30 Woodsmill Quay which had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend break. The apartment was spotless and the kitchen really well-equipped. We particularly enjoyed the fantastic views of the river with much to watch day and night! The location is only a short walk from the railway station and everything York has to offer.

This was a great place from which to explore York - our first visit. Really central, so most things could be walked to, but at the same time quiet and private. We arrived by train, so parking wasn't an issue for us. The river view was lovely, and exciting when it burst its banks during our stay (but no threat to accessing the apartment!). There are lots of bars, pubs and restaurants close by; we made 3 visits to the Fortyfive Vinyl Cafe, which has some good live music and a friendly vibe.

Cosy, comfortable flat right in the heart of the city! Fantastic place for a long weekend. Slap bang in the middle of York and close to all the main attractions. The place itself was clean, warm and excellently presented. It had everything you need, plus a great welcome package full of locally sourced treats. Can't thank you enough guys, we had a blast in York. Stunningly beautiful city, wonderfully welcoming locals. Can't wait to go back.

Lovely apartment ,very clean& it was lovely to find milk in the fridge when we arrived, there was plenty of tea & coffee sugar etc. Also lovely little welcome hamper. Very impressed with the lovely designer bedding. There was also a very decent hair dryer . There were a couple of things I would change ,the window blinds didn't cover the Windows very well, I think curtains would be better. & maybe a few more towels. You only get 1 bath towel & 1 hand towel per person ,that's ok for a weekend but we went for a week.Also a very well equipped kitchen. Not that I did .much cooking

Perfect stay in York. I honestly couldn’t fault this apartment! Incredibly clean, modern, top quality furnishings, perfect location as well. Lovely touches like milk in the fridge, a welcome pack with chocolate, crisps etc. Didn’t need to bring anything, there was washing up liquid and tea towels, dishwasher tablets for the machine, coffee pods for the Tassimo machine. Other tea and coffees and biscuits were also there. Plenty of toilet roll, kitchen roll, hand sanitiser and hand wash was available. Great tv, dvd machine and great free WiFi. More than enough storage space and sofa bed was just as good as a normal bed. Views from both windows amazing, directly looking out to river with the pleasure boats passing and a flock of geese resident below. Arrival instructions for the key very easy and we felt the building was very safe and in a nice decent area.

Close to everything in York

This unit has a great view of the river and the centre of York across the way, and is just a short walk from everything you will want to see and do -- ten minutes gets you up to the Shambles, the Castle, the Picture House, or the Station, 15 to the Minster, the Museum Garden, or the Train Museum. There's a grocery store round the corner, and several good pubs nearby. Great restaurants round the corner on Mikelgate, and the less crowded Bishy Road, both just 10 minutes away on foot.. You might hear the students and hen parties out drinking at a couple of pubs across the river, but if you close the double glazing, you won't hear a peep. The building itself is quiet and clean - we barely heard anyone else moving next door or above. The place was spotless, and cleaned regularly. Lots of maps and brochures on what to do, a very thorough instruction binder, and excellent advice from our hosts, who could be reached by text anytime with really quick response.. And thanks for the coffee, tea, and fresh cut flowers for our arrival.

They apartment is clean, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed. We had a lovely view of the river and an easy walk to everything in central York. Alison was so nice, and made sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this place!
